Debussy Festival

Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the composer’s birth and featuring the Complete Solo Piano Works.

We are delighted to welcome Roy Howat - internationally renowned as both pianist and scholar, and a recognised authority on Debussy – as Artist in Residence for the Debussy festival.

Author if the books ‘Debussy in Proportion’ and ‘The Art of French Piano Music’, as well as editor of the new Durand Edition, as part of the festival Roy Howat will deliver Public Masterclasses with Conservatoire students, as well as a recital of the Preludes Book Two. The Complete Solo Piano Works, performed over two concerts, will provide a stunning festival finale, and a fascinating exhibition of facsimiles and New Editions will be on display for the duration of the festival, to accompany each of the events.

All events are £5.50 (£3) or a festival ticket is available for the special price of £20 (£15) which allows entry to all seven festival events.
