Students' Union
All of our students are part of Birmingham City Students’ Union; a charity of over 25,000 members. The Students’ Union is independent from but works closely with the University. It is run by a team of elected students, called Executive Officers, supported by staff and volunteers. The Union is here to support you and make sure you have the best possible student experience during your studies.
As a not-for-profit organisation, every pound you spend in Union bars, shops and on activities goes back into providing you with great services and facilities such as:
- Student Groups like sports teams, societies, media groups and volunteering; perfect to help you meet new friends with similar interests.
- Our friendly Advice centre which can support you with academic matters, housing, money, safety and other issues.
- Birmingham City Student Homes who can help you find a safe new home.
- Our Entertainment programme, Cafes and Bars will give you the best nights out as well as somewhere to catch up with friends over lunch.
- Opportunities to get involved in a variety of roles and projects to enhance your experience whilst you study
