Birmingham City University : Attend Faculty Induction and Classes

Main website search

Attend Faculty Induction and Classes

During your first few weeks at Birmingham City University you will need to attend induction at your Faculty. There you will find information about your course, course start dates and any other relevant information specific to your Faculty and course programme.

If you have not already received information from your Faculty you can contact your Faculty directly. Faculty Details are at the bottom of this page.

Visa Reporting Requirements

Under the Points Based immigration system that is now in operation in the UK the university is obliged to report to the UK Border Agency any student who:

  • Fails to enrol on their course
  • Does not have regular attendance
  • Decides to withdraw from their course or interrupt their studies
  • Decides to study at another institution

You will be given further details about this at enrolment but here is further information in the meantime, and here is a guide to the Tier 4 student visa.
