Birmingham School of Acting
Birmingham School of Acting (BSA) is a leading vocational drama school offering full-time higher education courses funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
BSA is a small specialist institution currently with 140 full time students on three undergraduate courses and a staff of more than 50 working professionals. BSA is a faculty of Birmingham City University (formerly University of Central England) and is accredited by the National Council for Drama Training (NCDT) and a founder member of the Conference of Drama Schools (CDS).
Since merging with the University the school has been able to retain its identity as a specialist drama and performance provider and develop its portfolio of courses. The school now offers the following undergraduate and postgraduate courses:

The school is located in the centre of Birmingham which is a vibrant, modern, culturally diverse European city and the second-largest in the UK, recognised internationally as a centre for the arts,
entertainment and business. The school also provides part-time classes and summer schools for adults, children and young people.

The University
With 24,000 students, seven faculties and teaching sites spread across Birmingham, our parent University ( Birmingham City University) offers a vibrant, multi-cultural atmosphere in which to study. Although you will learn alongside other acting and drama students in a purpose-built school of acting, your University colleagues will often be nearby. The fact that most art, music and technology students are based in the city centre means the opportunity for creative collaboration are limited only by your imagination.
