Part 4 : Criminal convictions
The University has a duty to ensure the safety and security of its students and staff. You must tick the box if one of the following statements applies to you:
The definition of a relevant conviction is one for offences against the person, whether of a violent or sexual nature, or for offences involved unlawfully supplying controlled drugs or substances where the conviction concerns commercial drug dealing or trafficking. If you tick the box, you will not be automatically refused a place but the University will ask for more information before making a decision.
Convictions that are spent (as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974) are not considered to be relevant and need not be disclosed. Please note that if you do not declare a relevant criminal conviction and this comes to our attention at a later date, you may be excluded from the University.
